Walmart Human Resource Recommendations

Walmart Human Resource Recommendations

Walmart employee voice systems:
As is in the unfair termination case above, lawsuits occur when a manager fails to avoid using fair and effective disciplinary tactics.  This could be due to the manager being unaware of the organizational rules and procedures, the manager's fear of formal grievances, or the fear or losing the friendship of the employee.  Managers should be informed of the consequences of not pursuing disciplinary action to help avoid this type of mishap.

Managers at Walmart should also allow provide employees with the opportunity to be heard, and communicate their problems with their bosses to avoid Walmart employee complaints.  Voice systems can allow an employee to seek a formal, or informal, impartial review of an action that affects him or her.  There should be an open-door policy which allows employees to voice their concerns to their supervisors, and a skip-level policy which allows an employee to voice their concern to higher-level management if their problem involves their supervisor.  Employees should also be provided with toll-free numbers they can call to anonymously voice their concerns.   These type of systems are simple to understand, trustworthy and apply to a broad range of issues.  The system needs to be well-advertised, and information on how to file and complaint should be publicized in order to maximize its effectiveness in eliminating Walmart employee complaints.

  1. My supervisor looked at me and said your hair looks a hot mess, I commented that I had worked hard cleaning the dept. And that what's what you look like when you work hard. She made no other comment about anybody else. she plays favoritism when she gives some every weekend off. I am there to do my job and work hard for my pay.

    1. I agree don't use it. People I know that used it got nowhere. I worked at distribution center 7048. They told one coworker who asked for a raise that keeping their job is their raise.

  4. I returned to Walmart did not receive the pay I had left and returned was even below when I called home office they told me I should get my pay since I returned before the year, and contact my human resources which I did I was told to drop it, 2nd issue I have 2 children with disabilities, they fully aware and was hired back, I had my hours cut to 8 hours a week and moved departments to get more hours I have to call in on emergency situations and contacted sidwick for intermitment to protect my job, was approved on medical aspect but rejected because not enough hours. if its medical why do we have to have so many hours and when they cut hours where you can't get them. but did look up equal rights persons caring for disabled child or parent it's called family responisibility discrimination which I will be filing, my job was threatened that if I am late or call in once I will be automatically fired but I will fight for my rights, Walmart or no Walmart.

  6. I was told that if i complaint too much that i could get fired.and I hope that won't happen, because i would love to move up in the company. I have been with Sams for a little over two years and i plan to be with Sam's for as long as I can. I am a mature person and i know in this world that no job is perfect. but it would be nice to know that management cared a little bit about their employees. I am just so frustrated with management. when i have a problem I take it to my store manager, and i go to my immediate supervisor and i still don"t get any help.i come in when no one else will, but i can't get paid for my overtime, when my schedule is messed up, i get lied to. I am told if i leave, Sam;s came always get someone else, that's true but you have a good worker why run them away.one other thing no one like to be talked down to.I ask my supervisor to look at my schedule two week ago, today she did look at it for the first time, she wanted to talk to me as a person, and that was only because she called someone in as a third person to listen in. I work hard and i deserve to be treated as a human being. THank you for your time and consideration

  9. I am working in Walmart as a greeter and i have friends working as cashier, customer experience associates. i have noticed that our branch 3183 (cranbrook) BC. is taking the covid-19 lightly. there is no complete safety for the associates as well as customers. i have noticed that the current policy is that customers are not allowed to return the clothes and other items. in my store one of the customer was trying clothes on the floor in front of CSM and he did not say anything. even they are accepting the return on clothes. i do not think that this is acceptable. there is also not tap in the checking machine because people abuse for not having tap. As cash is also not acceptable but our store is accepting cash that is not safe for the associates. if cash back is not allowed than i think cash from customers should not be allowed. this is all i want to say that for the safety of all the associates, our store manager should be more strict towards the staff and should not allow any return.
