  1. I worked hard on oct 21st2013 there was about 15 mods that dropped and my dept mgr can't seem to get them done on time so took it upon myself to get them done. My supervisor looked at me and said your hair looks like a hot mess, nobody's hair looked any better. She gives some employes every weekend off and some work every weekend I've been with wal-mart since 1996 along time I'm 56 yrs old and probably old school wal-mart but I feel the comment and her favoritism is very unapporiate, plse comment

  4. I worked for Distribution Center 7048 some time ago. During my new hire orientation the HR manager at the time was speaking to us about how Wal-Mart practices respect for the individual. That is not always the case. My ex at the time had a serious health scare and she called HR to get a hold of me. Whoever took the phone call gave her a hard time and refused to get a hold of me. My ex ended up hanging up the phone and she to go through the ordeal by herself and I didn't find out what happened until I got home from work. I lost respect for the company over that situation. And we never received an apology from HR after I reported it.

  5. So HR didn't practice what they preached. They didn't show respect for the individual to me or my family.

  6. Wal-Mart doesn't appreciate their employees. They care about your seniority or what you contribute to the company. You are just a number and they will fire you and not lose any sleep and replace you with someone else just like that.

  7. I worked under good managers that were fired. They are incredibly strict on management about production. At one they were cleaning house and fired a lot of people that had seniority there. One person told me that been at the d.c. since day when they opened that he figured it would just be a matter time before they find a reason to get rid of him.

  8. On that note I don't suggest working for this company and definitely don't recommend going for a management position. I knew good workers that put in for job promotions and were passed up and people that are less deserving were given the position. And I know of a couple individuals that shouldn't have been promoted. They had poor people skills.

  9. I wish to complain my Supervisor, Store #3179, her name is Marcie Fiero, abuse of authority, unfair treatment on employees, favoritism, discrimination. She should set a good example on employees shes in charge of, this is the worst Person ive ever met after the serving honorably in the military. I wish that this matter be resolved with integrity.

  10. Store #180

    Where to begin?
Training leaves little to be desired. My first job as a cashier. CBLs do not cover everything.
They do not tell you what machinery works or doesn't correctly. CSMs have their favorite cashiers and let them choose which registers they want and allow to stay at them. Others are rotated to registers that have one issue or another. Weight scales not working. Card readers not working. Check machines out of whack. Conveyer belts broken. Certain payments not accepted. Additionally, most of the tenor employees give no warnings to the newbies on what the issues are and how to handle them. Some seem to even enjoy the newbies looking like idiots in front of the customers.
CSMs seem to be so piled up with work, it takes them over five minutes to respond to action codes if they do at all. There are at least four there.
Management is rarely seen on the floor. Once interviewed, you are lucky to see your supervisor once in three weeks.
I've witnessed an elderly black housekeeper pick on the cashiers.
I've witnessed a young black woman refuse to train a newbie.
I do not have any job experience, maybe I am being overly sensitive. I've always known that there has been discrimination as well as reverse discrimination in Jacksonville. But I thought Walmart was above reproach.

  12. When I called Walmart One Support the other day, because I was locked out of my account & wanted to make a whole new one, the lady that originally took my call went ahead and closed my account, but when I started to create my new account later, it did not work, so I called back, and was told whoever closed my account did not do it right, so I was then told I was going to be given a ticket and have to wait til Friday before I can create a new account. I want to be able to get on there NOW! Please fix this!

  22. the communications between mangement and associate should always be open with out fear of reprisal or being sent home by your support manager because you dared to disagree with him! i too have been in management before with another company and i perfered to keep the door open and make friends not enemies!

  33. I will say this.I don't appreciate the disrespect from DC7048. From the previous hr manager that was there. And she knows who she is acting like she's better than everyone else. I heard some things about her on the job. The A.P department and some of the management. I'll never forget it.

  42. My husband has worked for Walmart 20 years. This past week has been stressful for all retail workers I'm sure. In addition to the added stress and changes in store hours; now my husband is told he must be at the front door at a specific time so someone can open the door. What if he has to be there early because of personal responsibilities? Is he required to wait in the parking lot until someone opens the door? This is unfair and frankly, unkind.Would it really be a lot to ask for someone to be available to open the door at periods of time associates may be arriving to work?

  43. I am working in Walmart as a greeter and i have friends working as cashier, customer experience associates. i have noticed that our branch 3183 (cranbrook) BC. is taking the covid-19 lightly. there is no complete safety for the associates as well as customers. i have noticed that the current policy is that customers are not allowed to return the clothes and other items. in my store one of the customer was trying clothes on the floor in front of CSM and he did not say anything. even they are accepting the return on clothes. i do not think that this is acceptable. there is also not tap in the checking machine because people abuse for not having tap. As cash is also not acceptable but our store is accepting cash that is not safe for the associates. if cash back is not allowed than i think cash from customers should not be allowed. this is all i want to say that for the safety of all the associates, our store manager should be more strict towards the staff and should not allow any return.
